For a seemingly uneventful birthday (is there anything special that happens when you turn 23?) I actually had a really good day. Here is a run-down:
10:30am - Woke up to the phone ringing... got to talk to Mike, Mom, Dad, Kayla, and Raymond was singing "Happy Birthday" in the background (priceless!)
11:00am - Checked my email and got an email from my Grandmother (it's still weird to me that she has the internet!) and a JibJab e-card from Grampy that was hilarious! JibJab e-cards from Grammy and Grampy are always the best.
12:00pm - Got a voicemall from my Father-in-Law... more singing. ;-)
2:00pm - Went to Michael's and bought myself some beads to make wine glass charms with some awesomely cute little charms I got in Napa... can't wait to start these!
2:30pm - Went to the store to buy wine... Picked up some Fat Bastard (that seriously is the name of it) and found some Artesa but didn't buy it. I'm still searching for others from wineries we visited. (Yum!)
2:45pm - Kevin called to wish me a Happy Birthday. I wish I could tell you there was no singing involved. Haha!
3:00pm - Had lunch with my sister at Panera (yum!)
4:00pm - Got a Hoops and Yoyo E-Card from Jason... awesome in so so many ways.
6:30pm - Picked up ice-cream and ate it on the way to Fenway!
7:05pm - Game started at Fenway! Woo!
8:00pm - I bought a Fenway Frank (tradition) and a Mike's Hard Lemonade for myself. (Funny because when I bought a beer on my 21st birthday at Fenway they didn't card me, but when I buy a Mike's on my 23rd birthday they do... maybe I look younger now than I did 2 years ago? Weird.)
10:15pm - Papelbon pitches in the 9th and the Red Sox win!!! (Erin's 3rd game and the 3rd time that has happened! Craziness!)
And, to top it all off, I got flowers this morning at work from my family! They are beautiful and chock (CHOCK!) full of daisies and they smell amazing!
More pics and recap from California to come soon. We had a WONDERFUL time and can't wait to do it again! :-) Maybe we'll go back next week... Hey, I can dream can't I?
