How could I have missed this?

I went to Borders today during lunch. I tweeted this shortly after my trip:

I really love book stores. I could spend have spent hours of my life in various bookstores. It's interesting because I don't read any particular genre or have anything to say about books in general. (I have read a bunch of classics but likely couldn't have an educated discussion with you about them. Though, my favorite book is the classic The Catcher in the Rye.) I mostly love browsing the isles and looking at the travel books and the craft books and enjoying the quiet atmosphere that is a book store. (I also enjoy the smell of books... new and old. There is just something about that smell...)

While at Borders today I picked up a book for my sister that has 101 Cocktail Recipes in it as well as the new Dan Brown book (40% off, woo!) which I can't wait to read on my flight to Minneapolis on Sunday. As I was passing by the children's section (which I do often, since their books are more colorful than adult books and hence make me more happy to be around) I saw a copy of 'Wreck this Journal.'

I got this book for Christmas (my sister and I actually each bought a copy for the other, ha!) after I saw it in a museum gift shop. It's an amazing book which I have not wrecked yet but have every intention to destroy. I have been collecting fruit stickers on the page which says "collect fruit stickers here" but haven't done any other real destruction worth mentioning.

So, there I was in the children's section and I see a book that looks like this:

Apparently this 'book' is not a book, as it states right there on the cover. But wait, look at the bottom there: "By Keri Smith; Author of Wreck this Journal" EEP! I didn't know she had a new book out! * Sam then snatches up the book in record time and proceeds to the checkout at lightning speed. * Written in a similar manner as Wreck this Journal, this book encourages the owner to transform the 'book' into whatever he or she desires... you decide what goes in it and how it turns out. I am honestly very excited to start having fun with this book! Maybe it will even help me to get over my OCD tendencies and to actually wreck my journal. We shall see. :-)

Just read the comment you left for me on Doniree's blog. Hmmm, no I don't live in MN. Not even sure what MN stands for. I'm in Cape Town, South Africa.

I want to wreck a journal! But how would all my blog readers see it? Can we wreck journals digitally? That would be "greener" but less tactical.
