New Phone for me!

I think I have decided to get the Blackberry Pearl. It's cute and I like it and my friend Corinne has one that she loves. She named hers 'Pearl.' Appropriate, right?

The next question I have, now that I have decided which phone I want, is what COLOR do I want? My three choices are below... what do you think? Pick one and then suggest a name for her (it will be a her, I just know that for some reason. :-)

Oh, also, I love when you make up meanings for the random words Blogger makes you type in order to comment... seriously, all of you (meaning, my family and friends who comment and completely MAKE MY DAY when they do!) are hilarious and you should all have a blog. Seriously. :-) If you are sitting there in your comfy chair thinking, "wait, I am your friend and I already have a blog!" Well then, my friend, you are awesome. :-D

Oh, and also also, it's thisclose to Friday!!! Yay! Jump up and down with me!

Abacus Time

Amanda likes to say that my blog is on 'Abacus Time.' I have no idea what made her think up this hilarious term, but I'm pretty sure I fixed the problem today. My blog is now officially on Eastern Standard Time. Once DST comes I have no idea what is going to happen, but until then I think we're actually OFF Abacus Time. :-)

I'm Back!

Oh yes ladies and gentlemen, I am back! I am done with my deadline (well, the big one anyway) so I am back to some semi-regular blogging! Woo! Yes, go ahead, you can jump up and down with me.... Ok, that's enough. :-)

To celebrate my return to the blogosphere (I know I've only been gone for a little while, but you missed me, I can tell. If you didn't miss me then... well, why are you reading this anyhow? Go have some tea and leave me alone.) I digress... to celebrate I am going to share some scrapbooking pages with you! What? Scrapbooking? Oh yes, I ACTUALLY did some scrapbooking this weekend! Not any kind of scrapbooking either... DIGITAL scrapbooking! (Oh, fancy schmancy!)

Ok, so here are my pages. Let me know what you like/hate about them... :-) My favorite is the one from Jess' wedding. The New York City pages are a two-page spread, but I don't know how to make blogger put them side by side, so just use your imagination.

Top 10 excuses why I haven't posted on my blog in a looooong time:
(In no specific order)

- There are only 24 hours in the day and Daylight Savings Time begins on March 8th so that day only has 23 hours!

- In the grand scheme of things, posting to my blog ranks somewhere below working, eating, and sleeping

- Myspacebarisbroken

- I have been reading more... (The Host by Stephenie Meyer... so far, so good!)

- No one has been consistently posting comments about how I am bad at updating

- I dyed my hair and I was afraid that if I posted you wouldn't recognize me

- Jason spent the entire day yesterday cleaning and hanging pictures in our apartment and then when I got home he made dinner! (That's not a reason, I just wanted to brag... hee hee.)

- I haven't had anything interesting to write about

- I've been trying to catch up on episodes of Grey's and Private Practice so I can finally watch the crossover episode

- And finally... My dog ate it.

News in the Scrapbooking World...

I'm not a paper towel

Many of you know that I like all things crafty. Honestly, everything. I like it all, but I don't have the time or supplies to do it all. So, I pick my favorites and enjoy any time I get to spend creating stuff. Well, this blog post makes me want to learn how to embroider. You don't need a lot of supplies, right? I really want to make one of these... or many a bunch of them to give to people... Cool, huh? I love it and think it's a really good reminder to not use as many paper towels (something I definitely need to work on.)

Word of the Day

As some of you may have noticed, my Sister-In-Law, Amanda, likes to post comments to my blog. She ESPECIALLY likes to comment when I haven't posted anything in a few days. I love her for it because she usually writes the comments sometime after midnight, which means she's giggly and over-tired. In her last round of comments she mentioned the 'word verification' which you have to type in order to comment to make sure you are not spam. (Well, not that Spam can type, because that would just be weird... I mean internet spam... not 'in a can' spam.)

Avoiding Sleep...

If I go to bed it will be Monday morning before I know it and I will have to get up early and fight with Monday traffic. So, I am avoiding going to sleep. Instead, I am uploading photos to have them printed. I got all my frames that I have bought that I don't have photos to put in (I am addicted to frames... and Frosted Flakes, but that's a different story.) Anyway, so I am uploading photos, which means I'm going through my photos, which means I'm finding some great ones that I just thought I should share. :-) I just love how some photos didn't come out the way I anticipated, but they are just so good at telling a really great, memorable story... or they are just good for a laugh.

Worth watching!

Found this video on Gail's blog and it made me laugh so hard! Well, actually, it made me try NOT to laugh out loud during my lunch break at work so that no one would think I was completely crazy. :-) It's a little long (about 7 minutes), but really, it's hilarious!

I sometimes get in moods where I want to listen to country music. I can't help it; it's wired into my DNA. I'm from the NEK, I have to like it. I'm also one of those people who will find a new song and play it over and over and over again until I can't stand it anymore. Right now, this is the song I keep playing on my iPod over and over again. It's catchy and nice. I like nice. It makes me smile. :-)

Randomness on a Tuesday!?!?! Why YES!

~ Was reading the One Pretty Thing blog (go check it out, there is SO much inspiration for all things crafty there...) today and they have a link to a post about teaching your cat how to fetch on Instructables. My cat used to fetch her headbands that we threw for her, and sometimes paintbrushes, but she has stopped... Maybe I can read up on it and try to teach her to do it again. :-)

~ Hopefully I will be updating my 365 blog soon. I have all the photos uploaded through last Friday, I just don't have journaling for them (I know, 'bad scrapbooker! tsk tsk!")

~ Check out this free iron-on design from Creature Comforts. It makes my heart go pitter-patter and makes me want to go out and buy iron-on transfers right now! Also, I would have to buy an iron... can you believe I don't own an iron? I can. :-)

~ I would love some Ritz crackers right now.

~ Thinking of sending some Valentines to those I love this week or next. Found some adorable ones online. I will either print someone else's or design my own... we will see how ambitious I am! I love these zebras from Bunny Cakes though!

~ Since I am on a scrapbook buying freeze (see this post) I have been downloading a lot of digital elements to print at home and use. Even if I don't print them right away, I have them downloaded to my external hard drive (love that thing... I've got to think of a name for it though. Denise's external hard drive is named Lacey.) I'll leave you with some of the images of the digital freebies (and links!) that I have found mainly using Angie's site. (She's awesome and updates almost every day! 25 Random Facts About Me

This type of thing has been going around Facebook for the last couple weeks and I thought I would join in the awesomeness.

1. I really wish teleporting around the world could become a reality, and soon.

2. I could eat soup every day.

3. My favorite Christmas movie is Garfield's Christmas Special.

4. I have been scrapbooking for 4 years now and it has changed the way I see the world (in a good way.)

5. I love when my family members talk to me about something they read on my blog.

6. When I tell people I am from Northern Vermont and that it's very rural, 99% of the time I don't think they understand just HOW rural.

7. I am eating Cheerios right now. Honey Nut because that's the best kind, and dry because I have never liked the taste of milk.

8. I try to do simple things every day that make me smile. Example: wearing fun or missmatched socks

9. I was engaged exactly one month after I turned 19.

10. I love argyle.

11. I am intrigued by Twitter but haven't yet made the leap to actually join.

12. My younger sister and I fought constantly when we were growing up. Now, we are best friends.

13. I am currently growing my hair out so I can donate it to Locks of Love. I don't like it long but it's going to be worth it. When I cut it, I will start growing it out again for the same reason.

24. I carry my camera with me wherever I go. Some of my favorite photos were taken when I thought to myself "whoa, I wish I had a camera right now,"... and I did!
