LOAD - Day 27

One of my most favorite photos from Kristen's recent visit to Minneapolis. We had SO MUCH FUN! :-D

Journaling:
Kristen and I had so much fun taking photos in the Sculpture Garden in Minneapolis. It was a beautiful day and a perfect time to take photos and goof around together.

Journaling: Eeyore was so sad. Jason was really feeling his pain & was sad that he was sad. It was sad not to be sad for poor Eeyore. * tear *

LOAD - Day 24

Journaling: Meeting Mickey & Minnie Mouse was definitely one of the highlights of our trip. What Disney vacation is complete without meeting the mouse himself? Jason even had his Mickey Mouse PEZ Dispenser with him to show Mickey, who was very impressed indeed!

LOAD - Day 21

Journaling:
This is by far my favorite photo of the four of us. We didn’t actually go on the Tower of Terror (that would be terrifying for me!) but the photographer taking our picture told us to ‘act scared’...well, we all acted scared, except Dane who acted ‘scary’ instead. Haha! So, it kinda looks like we are scared of him instead! It’s such a priceless photo and it really captures how much FUN we had on vacation together.

LOAD - Day 19

I have to say, I am basically in love with this page. It may be my favorite page I have ever made. Look at those colors, and the cute cupcake embellishment... and the Mickey ears in the background!!! And to think, if I hadn't committed to participating in this challenge, I would have likely never created this page.

Journaling: This was easily the biggest cupcake I’ve ever had. I couldn’t even finish it! It was also really delicious! Disney knows how to make cupcakes, for sure! :-)

LOAD - Day 18

Journaling: Jason had a little problem with wanting to throw Kristen into a water fountain during our trip. I’m not sure that he would have actually done it, but I know he wanted to. I think he knew, deep down, that if he did throw Kristen in there, he would end up soaking wet with her. He had fun pretending though... and I don’t even think Kristen cared too much, judging by the smile on her face. :-)

A Blogger Meet-up for a Good Cause

Tonight I will be attending a Blogger get-together with over 40 local blogging ladies.

This will be my second big blogger meet-up in Minnesota. I have gotten to know a few of these ladies over the months I have lived in the area and, let me tell you, I am reminded every day that bloggers are among the nicest people ever. Pair that fact with the 'Minnesota-nice' nature of the people here and the outcome is overwhelmingly welcome and encouraging and, best of all, FUN!

The meetup has been organized by Molly who is an advocate for the Child Hunger End's Here charity organization. Us bloggers will be bringing non-perishable food items to donate to local food shelves. I just love when good people get together to do good things. It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. :-) We'll all be getting together at Nye's Polonaise in Minneapolis. [Find a list of attendees here.]

I can't wait for this get-together to be able to connect with some of the bloggers I met at the last meet-up, as well as meet some of the bloggers I follow but haven't met yet (but feel like I know already!)

If you are in the Twin Cities area and would like to contribute to the End Child Hunger cause, you are in luck! Area bloggers have rallied together to donate items for a local rummage sale where all sales will be donated. And you can go!!!

MINNESOTA BLOGGERS RUMMAGE SALE

SATURDAY, MAY 22
8 AM-1 PM

1227 MONTREAL, ST. PAUL

HIGHLAND PARK SHELTER

For more information, check out Molly’s Blog.

Easy, right? Go and pick up some good stuff and help out a good cause! (I, unfortunately, will not be able to attend the rummage sale since I had to work, but I will be making my donation together at the meet-up because I am all about supporting a good cause and helping those in need.)

To all my blogger friends who will be there tonight, I can't wait to see you!

LOAD - Day 17

Journaling: This was one of my favorite rides at Disney World, and the first one we went on when we got to Animal Kingdom! I loved how the animals were basically roaming around among the trails that we were riding on. I also love that, had we gone on that same ride again, it would have likely been completely different because the animals are always in different places. Also, I think I like the elephants best.

Inspiring Me Today

Ali posted an interesting list of things that are inspiring her lately. I thought it would be fun to play along! So, here is what is inspiring me lately. :-)

Color: Pink - For my new baby niece due to arrive in September!

Font: Sketch Block - Great for page titles.

Pattern: Polka Dots - Because they always add just what I'm looking for to my projects

Shape: Square - Loving using square photos in my scrapbooking or creating square cards

Letter: P - My last name initial is growing on me... I am learning to embrace it. :-)

Number: 9 - As in, I am amazed that it takes only 9 months to create a little person.

Word: Motivation - As in, I need some to get to the gym lately!

What is inspiring you today?

LOAD - Day 16

Still loving this project. It actually isn't that hard to take about a half hour to make a layout every day. This is the first day I started scrapbooking our Disney World trip from March. I wanted to get a hand full of photos from 2009 scrapped before I started in on the (awesome) Disney photos. :-D

Journaling:
Jason & I got to Epcot before Kristen & Dane one morning and did a little research to see where Snow White would be (knowing she is Kristen’s favorite princess.) Well, we found her in Germany and told Kristen to hurry to get to us. When she got to Germany she got to meet Snow White and told her “I ran from China to see you!” Kristen was SO excited to meet Snow White, especially because Snow White said that they could be twins. Kristen and Snow White are basically best friends now and I am so glad I was able to see Kristen so happy! It was definitely one of my favorite moments at Disney World. Pure magic. :-)

Dear Monday...

I read this blog called thxthxthx where Leah posts a thank you note every day. I love it.

The idea of thanking things that would otherwise be a negative part of your life is wonderful. A recent note read "Dear Uncertainty, Thanks for also essentially being possibility. I'm a lot more into you when I think of you that way. Love, Leah"

Here is her most recent post. I thought it would be appropriate to post on a Monday. :-)

Appropriate, right? Here's to making today your day!

LOAD - Day 14

Journaling: I just love spending time in at Camp in Maine. It’s probably one of my favorite places to be. You know all the stress associated with everyday life? When I’m at Camp, no matter what is going on at home, I can relax. I just go out into the water and float for a little while. The water completely washes away all the worry and anxiety that goes alone with life sometimes. If floating in the water doesn’t work, a kayak ride will, or a few s’mores made with toasted marshmallows from the fire. It really is the perfect vacation spot. :-)

LOAD - Day 13

Journaling: These two are serious Red Sox fans. Erin was really excited to buy matching jackets for her and Jason to wear to the games. How cute is that? I mean really. Love these two and their quirky ways so much. :-)

LOAD - Day 12

Journaling: While shopping at IKEA one Sunday we just had to keep one of Kristen’s traditions of taking a photo with everyone in the tub (which is on display.) So, we all climbed in the tub, I set the self timer on my camera and set it on the sink, and we all smiled. I’m sure we looked a little crazy to the other people in the store but really, we didn’t care.

In honor of 1000 tweets...

I just tweeted my 1,000th tweet. Yup. One. Thousand. That seems insane to me somehow.

In honor of #1000, I have created this wordle to showcase the words used in my tweets the most. The two biggest are 'love' (which is amazingly awesome to me) and 'scrapchat' (which is a weekly twitter chat I participate in and this is the hashtag for it).

Some of the other words I love that are included in the cloud:
- awesome
- excited
- friends
- photos
- thanks
- today
- beautiful
- yay
- amazing
- make
- happy
- fun
- chocolate
- beer

Not only does that sum up my twitter updates, but it basically sums up my life. :-) And I think that's pretty great.

Are you on twitter? Let me know so I can follow you!

Happy Friday! (Some links!)

Happy Friday everyone! :-)

Even though I work tonight (5pm - 12am) I am looking forward to a nice sunny weekend of spending time with my husband. On the agenda:
- Cooking
- Crafting
- Sleeping in
- Walking/Exercising
- Geocaching
- Cuddling
- Netflix watching

What about you? Do you have anything fun planned for the weekend? Any simple things at home that you are looking forward to?

------------------------------------------

How about checking out some fun things online? Here are just a few fun links I thought I would share with you.
Happy Weekend!!!

LOAD - Day 10

Journaling: We always have so much fun together at the Red Sox games. We obviously have more fun when they win, but it’s a good time either way. We always get Fenway Franks around the 6th inning, with some cotton candy to share. We usually each get a beer too, which just seems to taste better when you’re drinking it at Fenway. I love that we have this fun activity that we can do together. (Sometimes we bring friends to experience it with us!)
